Overlooking Bass Harbour and only a few
minutes walk to the Jetty Point where the
Immigration, Customs and Port Captain
requirements are handled, the Royal Langkawi
Yacht Club is conveniently located at the
edge of Kuah town. The Royal Langkawi
Yacht Club was named the Best Asian
Marine/Yacht Club of the Year at the
highly-acclaimed Christofle Asia Boating
Awards 2008
The marina has
200 berths with 170 providing water and
electricity. It can accommodate mega yachts
up to 60m in length. Nestled snugly behind a
protective sea wall with a minimum depth of
3 metres close to shore with more than 10
metres on outer berths. Showers and toilets,
swimming pool, laundry, telephone, fax,
Internet facilities, merchandise, flight
reservations, car rental and taxi
reservations are some of the amenities and
services available.
The club is home of The
Royal Langkawi International Regatta, a premier event held in March each
year offering challenging courses in racing,
cruising, multihull and sports boats. The
prestigious awards to be won include The
Prime Minister's Challenge Trophy and the
Commodore's Cup. Five great parties, four
days of racing, excellent prizes.
The club offers
offers a full range of facilities for the
whole family. The waterfront swimming pool
and jacuzzi overlooks the marina. There are
two restaurants within the clubhouse
building, a convenience store, the offices
of Simpson Marines, Blue Water Star Sailing,
East Marine, Sunsail, and club office. For
the more adventurous, there are activities
such as deep-sea fishing, sailing, scuba
diving, jet skiing as well as the option to
rent speedboats and charter yachts with a
full crew.
Membership:
Ordinary: RM28,000 / Resident: RM8,000.
Ordinary Members Ordinary members have
access to both club and marina facilities.
Resident Members limited to residents of
Langkawi or businesses based in Langkawi.
Resident Members have access to Clubhouse
facilities only.

The cuisine and service match the
